ManyDesigns operates a sustainable free software business model. To offer our users and customers maximum flexibility we provide Portofino under a dual licensing policy. The two licenses are here discussed.

Open source license

Portofino is licensed under the GNU General Public License (GPL) with FLOSS exception.

If you develop software for internal use or if you distribute open source software, this license gives you the ability to do so at no licensing cost.

Open source licenses are supported through our community forums. If you are interested in paid support, please see our Single subscription.

Commercial license

If you develop a proprietary application using Portofino and you do not want to distribute it under the terms of an open source license, you can purchase a commercial subscription.

We offer a range of Basic, Advanced, Professional and Premium subscriptions which include a commercial license, fix updates and support options.
